With most of the world now observing some sort of movement control order, education institutions have shut down until students are able to leave their houses again. But despite that, learning still needs to happen, and everyone has taken to the internet to teach and learn using video conferencing software, open-source document sharing sites and more.
This is no exception in the mobile sphere as well – Google has announced that they will be launching a ‘Kids’ section in the Play Store, that will be filled with apps that are ‘teacher approved’.
The apps will have to be age-appropriate and be of high quality in its content – each approved app will show a list of reasons why teachers have given it a thumbs up. With the new section rolling out progressively across the globe, this is a good time for parents to sit down with their kids around a phone or a tablet and learn together as a family.
