Google just launched Play Pass — the new rival to Apple Arcade that is similarly priced at $4.99/month.
With Play Pass, Google users can now subscribe and get access to over 350 apps and games with titles like Monument Valley, AccuWeather, Risk and more. However, unlike Apple Arcade, Google doesn’t have any exclusive content.
Google Play Pass will be available to Android devices in the US this week and for a limited time, users can gee the Play Pass for $1.99/month for the first 12 months before reverting to the standard price of $4.99/month. In addition, users will also get a 10-day free trial. Just like its rival, Google lets its users share the subscription service with another five family members.
Google also mentioned that the service will expand to additional countries soon, so don’t worry if you don’t get access to the service yet. Once the service is available to you, you’ll be able to see an additional Play Pass tab located at the bottom of the homepage.
