Google’s Pixel 4a was set to launch in May, but Jon Prosser revealed in his tweet recently that it will now be delayed to July.

According to Prosser, the Pixel 4a will be available in two colors — “Just Black” and “Barely Blue”. Google usually takes about half a year to launch the “lite” version of the Google Pixel phones, so the Pixel 4a should’ve been launched in May. However, it is now postponed for two months on July 13.

Prosser also confirmed that the new Pixel phone will not support 5G connectivity and there might not be a Pixel 4a XL. It will, however, be equipped with a Snapdragon 730 chipset, 6GB RAM and a 3,080mAh battery.

As the Pixel 4a will be an affordable option, reports are suggesting that it will start at a lower price ($399) as compared to the Pixel 4 that is priced at $799. Let’s just hope Google doesn’t delay the launch again, or it’ll be like Samsung and its Galaxy Fold all over again.
