Do you feel anxious when you park your car in a huge open carpark, thinking to yourself “I hope I can find my car” With the recent update added into google maps you might not need to worry about that anymore, with a few taps on Google Maps, you can easily save the location of your car as a pin.

To use the feature, simple tap the blue dot that indicates where you are and a menu will appear with an option “save your parking”, tapping on that will place a “P” indicating where you parked your car. On iOS however, the process is more simplified. The automatic parking detection will detect that you have left your car after your iPhone has disconnected from the Bluetooth of your car and automatically place a parking pin on Google maps based on your location.

Google was also nice enough to include, parking notes, share location, add pictures and even a time left which includes a 15 minutes reminder. To make use of this feature, make sure you are running the latest version of maps which can be downloaded from Google Play and the App Store.
