Have you ever wished that you could own a DRM-free copy of game you’ve already owned on Steam for free? Because GOG is doing just that with its new GOG Connect initiative.
The premise behind this is simple: you connect your Steam account to GOG and from there, if any on the games on your Steam account is eligible for this initiative, GOG will give you a DRM-free copy of the game with no extra charge.
Of course, the games that are eligible with GOG Connect will be rotated in and out, meaning that the games that are eligible today will eventually be removed to make way for a brand new set of games. For now, some of the titles that are on GOG Connect includes FTL: Faster Than Light, Saints Row 2, Braid, Bit.Trip Runner and more. These games will be eligible for GOG Connect for the next five days, so if you wish to take advantage of this initiative, you’re going to need to do so ASAP.
