Samsung has just unveiled the Galaxy J5 in select regions last month and there has been some form of development since. Earlier today, the company silently unveiled a pro version of the said device in neighboring country Thailand. The Galaxy J5 Pro only features upgrades in two aspects – RAM and storage.
The Galaxy J5 Pro features the same specs as the standard Galaxy J5 all around apart from the differences mentioned above. First off, a 5.2-inch display in 720p resolution on the front. Underneath the hood is Samsung’s own Exynos 7870 processor clocked at 1.6 GHz. RAM has been upgraded from 2GB to 3GB and Samsung has also doubled up on the internal storage as well, with 32GB from 16GB.
Camera department remains the same throughout – a 13MP sensors for both the rear and front shooters with impressive f/1.7 and f/1.9 apertures respectively. A bonus is that both cameras feature LED flash as well. The Galaxy J5 Pro packs a 3,000mAh battery but unfortunately still uses a micro USB port for charging, but it isn’t necessarily a deal breaker on its own.
The Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro carries a price tag of THB 9,990 (RM 1,262.19), which might seem pricey considering that it only has a 720p screen, but that is up to you to decide. What do you think?
