You should be very lucky if you have got a Windows 8.1 notebook recently that comes with free 1 year Office 365 Personal subscription, because  this offer is about to end with new PCs that come preloaded with Windows 10. As far as we know in our local market, entry level Windows 8.1 tablets are still having this offer and you should probably grab the opportunity to buy one if you need a portable working device.

Office 365 Personal is a pretty decent service from Microsoft, first of all you get to enjoy the full suite of Microsoft Office applications on your PC and one mobile device, 1TB of OneDrive storage that is technically impossible to fill it up and get free updates from the company. What’s going to happen with new PCs right now is that Microsoft will offer an Office Universal app for both PCs and mobile devices, in which you will be able to view Office documents for free but if you were to get editing features, you would have to pay up for Microsoft’s Office 365 subscription, otherwise you can simply just purchase a single PC version that you will not need to pay every month, despite being more expensive.

Now then, if you’ve ever thought of owning a free 1-year Office 365 Personal subscription, you’d best better act fast on buying your new device, otherwise you can still purchase Microsoft’s Surface 3 tablet, which will still offer a free Office 365 Personal subscription despite being shipped with Windows 10.
