Apple could unveil its new Magic Mouse 2 and wireless keyboard soon

Apple has made great interaction on the Watch and MacBooks with its Force Touch technology, however its desktop input devices have not been updated since 2006, current Mac desktop users can finally look forward to the day that Apple’s 2nd generation Magic Mouse and wireless keyboard to be unveiled, as the company has just submitted approval documents up to the FCC and it tells us a couple of long awaited features.

First, users will be happy to know that the 2nd generation Magic Mouse and keyboard would have built-in rechargeable lithium batteries which will eliminate the need to swap the dual AA batteries, the new devices also uses the latest and more efficient Bluetooth 4.2 LE connection and we should actually see significant improvements in battery life over the current devices that is still on Bluetooth 2.0. In other aspects, sources also believe that the new Magic Mouse 2 might feature Force Touch while the new keyboard could actually feature new function keys to play nice with OS X El Capitan.

If the time is right, Apple should be announcing the Magic Mouse 2 and new wireless keyboard on its September 9th event, which is also when we could expect the announcement of the company’s iPhone, iPad, OS X El Capitan and iOS 9 release.
