Nowadays, there’s a lot of apps that you could download on your smartphone. It doesn’t matter if its sport, beauty, cooking, or singing, there’s surely an app that suits your liking. Take TikTok for example, it is one of the most used and downloaded app by users all around the world. It is a video app that let users create fun and creative videos of them dancing or lip syncing to a song, and the videos could be shared on any social media platform.
Recently, Facebook have created and launched an app similar to TikTok that they have named as “Lasso”, but they did not announced the release of the app, instead they released the app quietly. Since Facebook has been losing their users over the year, Facebook have created this app in hopes to win the heart of their users, specifically teenagers who have lost interest on Facebook.
The app is available for download on both iOS and Android phones, and you can choose to create an account by signing in through Instagram or Facebook. As usual, by signing through one of these apps, you’ll have to authorize the app to allow access to your profile page, photos, and videos. Once you have set up an account, you’ll be able to scroll through tons of short videos that auto plays when you scroll by them.
If you took a video, you will be able to edit your video with different type of filters, add tags, and add hashtags that will be provided at the bottom of your video. Facebook have mentioned that Lasso only allows user to share their videos from Lasso to Facebook stories, whereas feature to share it on Instagram stories will come later.
