Australia isn’t the only one to have put up warnings about bringing your Galaxy Note 7 onto a flight as the American Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued their own warnings against bring Samsung’s latest smartphones onto flights.

While the FAA didn’t explicitly ban the Galaxy Note 7 on flights like the Australia aircraft companies did, they did release a statement that advice passengers not to turn on these phones while they’re in-flight. Furthermore, the FAA also advises against putting the smartphones into checked baggages. When asked if the FAA would issue a straight ban on the Galaxy Note 7, a spokesman for the FAA states that they will “update the statement as more information becomes available.”

The Galaxy Note 7 fiasco has been highly unfortunate for Samsung, with reports of exploding Note 7s coming in on an almost weekly basis. Only time will tell if this blunder would not permanently affect Samsung’s reputation in the mobile world.
