CES 2018: HTC introduces a Pro model of their Vive headset

HTC has just announced another variant of their Vive headset called Vive Pro. The new headset comes with new features and upgraded visuals that users have been asking for.

The Vive Pro now features built-in headphones with an amplifier and increase resolutions of 2880 x 1600 over the standard model which has 2160 x 1200 resolution effectively increasing the pixel count by 78%. Other than that, it has dual microphones and dual front-facing cameras designed to empower developer creativity, which is assumed to be augmented reality applications. HTC is also releasing the Vive Wireless Adapter so you can enjoy the headset without any wires connected and Viveport VR, which is their subscription services where users can try out new games before buying them and explore a virtual environment where they can meet other users.

The Vive Pro has no price or release date but HTC has mentioned that it will be coming soon. As for the Wireless Adaptor, it will be available in Q4 2018 and the price will be announced closer to the release date.
