The Dell XPS 13 is one of the more popular laptops available on the market as it is a great combination of portability and performance. So how do you improve on it? Dell answered said question at CES 2017 by turning the XPS 13 into a two-in-one with the release of the XPS 13 9365.

For the most part, the XPS 13 9365 is visually identical to the standard XPS 13. The 13.3″ two-in-one comes with the edge-to-edge Infinity Display that is available in two variants: 1080p Full HD, or Quad HD+ (3200 x 1800). Performance-wise, the Dell XPS 13 comes with the new Kaby Lake Core i5 and Core i7 processors. One thing to note is that these processors are not the actual Core processors, but are the newly rebranded Core M processors.

There are a few changes that were made when Dell converted the XPS 13 into a two-in-one. The first of these changes has to do with the ports. Continuing the trend of shiting towards USB-C, the XPS 13 9365 comes with two USB Type-C ports and a microSD slot. Thankfully, Dell will be bundling a USB-A adapter with the two-in-one. Another change that Dell has done to the XPS 13 9365 is the camera as it now sits at the center of the bottom of the screen, instead of being located at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. Said camera is now Windows Hello-compatible, so you can unlock the two-in-one with just your face.

Pricing for the XPS 13 9365 will be a tad bit higher as it will retail for USD999 (RM4,488), which is USD100 more expensive than the standard XPS 13. The XPS 13 9365 will be available on the 5th of January in the States. Dell Malaysia has yet to reveal if this version of the XPS 13 will be available here, so we’re going to have to wait for an official announcement until then.
