Ah, there’s the classic post-MoU-signing handshake – in the viewfinder this time are Celcom’s Idham Nawawi and Maxis’ Gokhan Ogut as both parties agree to join forces in accelerating 5G deployment in the country.
To do so, Celcom and Maxis will jointly deploy 5G infrastructures in Malaysia. This will be done in certain areas while maintaining their own networks.
As we anticipate the mass rollout of the new network standard next year, we’re glad to see major telcos major telcos working together to provide a proper 5G solution for the people – unless it becomes a monopoly, which is still quote possible. We’ll just have to wait and see.
