With the ASUS ZenFone AR finally seeing the light of day soon in Malaysia, ASUS has launched yet another handset, the first one in the second half of 2017. Chances are that you haven’t been told just yet, as the phone is unveiled in Russia. Meet the ZenFone 4 Max!

We can’t be certain as to why ASUS chose to silently launch the ZenFone 4 Max in Russia. So far, the handset seems promising and has the potential to perform well in other Asian markets such as Malaysia.

First off, the ZenFone 4 Max sports a 5.5-inch display in Full HD 1080p resolution on the front. It is also housed in a premium looking metal design. Underneath the hood lies a Snapdragon 425 or 430 processor, depending on user preference. Of course, the latter chipset will cost a tad more than the former. With that comes 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

The ZenFone 4 Max looks very similar to the ZenFone 3 Zoom, apart from the fingerprint sensor placement. It sports a dual rear camera setup of 13MP sensors – a standard one and a wide angle lens. The front facing camera is of 8 megapixels, ideal for good quality selfies.

One of the biggest highlights of the ZenFone 4 Max is its battery capacity of 5,000mAh. With a battery that large, the phone is claimed to last up to 22 hours on video playback, and a whopping 46 days on standby mode with LTE connection. ASUS boasts the charging tech of the handset as well, offering 3 hours of voice calling with only 15 minutes of charging.

The ZenFone 4 Max sounds like a device not to miss out on. ASUS should be launching this phone in other regions pretty soon, it’s just a question of when. What do you think of the ZenFone 4 Max?
