Seems like the 2-in-1 laptop form factor is doing pretty well, because ASUS has announced its very own Transformer Book Flip here in Malaysia. The Transformer Book Flip is a Windows 8.1 laptop that features an advanced hinge that will allow users to use the device in a laptop or tablet mode, the design is also very much suited for use in challenging work spaces.
Flexibility doesn’t comes with compromises in hardware internals, the Transformer Book Flip comes with a configuration of up to Core i7 processor and GeForce GT840M discrete graphics and there’s even two screen sizes – 13.3” and 15.6” – for you to choose from, so there’s definitely an option for everyone. However, screen resolution isn’t for everyone though, it comes with a low 1366×768 display resolution. Not to worry though, the laptop doesn’t come with a plastic chassis but an extremely premium hairline-textured aluminum finish.
Prices of the Transformer Book Flip starts from RM1,699 for the 13.3” model (TP300LA) with Core i3 Processor, Intel HD Graphicsand 500GB hard drive up to RM2,899 for the 15.6” model (TP550LN-CI088H) with Core i7 processor, NVIDIA GeForce GT840M 2GB graphics and a 500GB+24GB SSD configuration. Do check it out at your nearest local resellers and the price is pretty affordable for a 2-in-1 laptop.
