HMD Global has been working hard to push out Android Oreo software for its new line of Android smartphones. The company took the world by storm earlier this year, launching its range of Nokia smartphones, bringing back the once household brand into the light again. HMD Global also promised Android P for all its current smartphones, and its entry level Nokia 5 has entered the Oreo beta scene.
Chief Product Officer of HMD Global Juho Sarvikas has announced on his Twitter account that the Nokia 5 has entered its beta labs for Android Oreo. The higher end Nokia 8 recently had Oreo beta software as well. The entry level Nokia 5, which is powered by a Snapdragon 430 processor has landed itself in HMD Global’s Oreo beta labs before the Nokia 6. Sarvikas did mention however that the Nokia 6 is headed to the labs very soon.
This Oreo beta software carries on the company’s fulfillment of software support for all its Android smartphones while some other smartphone makers still have Android Oreo software in the pipeline. Are you running Android Oreo on your smartphone yet?
