Acer is one of the renowned brands when it comes to laptops and monitors and today they’re launching two products; the Predator XB3 gaming monitor and the Acer Nitro XV3 monitor.
In terms of similarities, both the Nitro XV3 and the Predator XB3 monitors supports 4K UHD display with 144Hz refresh rate that is overclockable. The displays were also upgraded to VESA DisplayHDR 400 and Quantum Dot display for better colour vibrancy and contrast to enhance gaming experiences and the display is equipped with Delta E<1 technology for higher colour accuracy. In addition to that, the monitors have shields to offer focus and illuminate shadows for better display view. The monitors will also be equipped with Acer VisionCare that consists of Flickerless, BlueLightShield, ComfyView and Low-Dimming technologies to ensure users can spend longer time on their monitors without damaging their eyesights.
What differs between the monitors is the AMD Radeon FreeSync technology on the XV3 and the NVIDIA G-sync technology on the XVB3, whereby the AMD Radeon FreeSync can achieve 1ms response time and the NVIDIA G-sync can achieve 4ms response time, both made to decrease blurring in fast-moving images and reduce lag and screen tears. Another slight difference is the AcerErgoStand that allows users to adjust their monitors for optimum viewing positions. The Predator’s stand will come in a gunmetal design with a logo on the top of the stand whereas the Nitro XV3’s stand will be in silver. Aside from that, the XB3 has a Dark Boost technology for sharper images in darker environments whereas the XV3 has a Black Boost technology with 11 levels of dark level adjustments to optimise the visual’s brightness.
The Predator XB3 will cost RM 4,599 and will be available in mid December whereas the Nitro XV3 will cost RM 2,999 which will be available in mid November. Both monitors can be purchased at the Acer Official Online Stores and authorised resellers nationwide.
Apart from that, Acer Malaysia also collaborated with Pestle & Mortar, a local streetwear brand to produce two new T-shirt designs, whereby the Acer Swift design is priced at RM 99 and the Predator design is priced at RM 109.
