Acer has introduced three new computers to the Malaysian market, the first being a Ryzen equipped computer called Acer Aspire GX281, the Acer Swift 1 which completes the Swift series and the addition of the Aspire 5 and Aspire 3 to the Aspire line of laptops. The GX281 is targeted at gaming, entertainment and multitasking, while the Aspire 5 and 3 are focused towards everyone, regardless if it’s used in the workplace, classroom or at home.
Acer Aspire GX281
First announced during the New York Global Press Conference, the computer is equipped with a Ryzen 7 1700X processor to enable the best gaming and streaming experience it can offer. It also comes with the AMD RX480 graphics card to enable 4K gaming and content consumption at any time and comes with a single 8GB DDR4 RAM upgradable to 32GB. The armor-inspired chassis has a front-facing LED lighting that emits a red glow, giving it a gaming personality to fit your own.
Acer Swift 1
The Swift 1 is built with an all-metal chassis which houses a 13.3-inch Full HD display, Intel Pentium processor, 4GB RAM and 128GB SSD all in a 14.95mm form factor, weighing at just 1.3kg. Acer also claimed that the laptop’s battery will last for 10 hours and the ultra-fast 2×2 MIMO 802.11ac wireless technology will give you few extra hours of usage.
The fingerprint sensor is compatible with Windows Hello and has a Skype for business certification for a great video conferencing experience. It also features Acer BluelightShield to reduce eye strain and Acer TrueHarmony for richer and immersive multimedia experience.
Acer Aspire 5 and Aspire 3
Both these laptops will offer HD or Full HD displays and Acer BluelightShield, which lowers the exposure of blue light and reducing eye strain. Both come with an 180-degrees lay flat display, giving you a choice of viewing angle. The Precision Touchpad will improve accuracy and performance to make navigating the OS a breeze.
The Aspire 5 comes equipped with 7th Gen Intel Core i5 processor or AMD A-Series processors, up to 16GB DDR4 RAM and storage options that range from HDDs up to 1TB and M.2 SSDs up to 256GB. Acer is also the first company to bring in the NVIDIA GeForce MX150 2GB graphics, offering 4 times faster performance compared to integrated graphics, making it ideal for video editing and gaming.
The Aspire 3 will come with either 14-inch HD or 15.6-inch HD display with smooth and delicate cross hairline brush pattern on the top of the laptop to give it an elegant visual effect. The laptop will also come with a choice of Intel Celeron or AMD Processors and 4GB onboard DDR3 or DDR4 RAM.
All these devices are available for purchase right now at all authorised Acer resellers nationwide, the Acer Aspire GX281 will retail for RM5,499 while the Acer Swift 1 will retail for RM2,199 and comes in Salmon Pink, Luxury Gold and Sparkly Sliver. As for the Acer Aspire 5, the Intel and AMD variant will retail for RM2,639 and RM2,549 respectively, and the Acer Aspire 3 retails for RM1,339 to RM1,499.
