Dell Technologies has launched the Dell Pro Essential 14 and Dell Pro Essential 15 in Malaysia, expanding its business laptop range with two models designed for small companies and growing teams. Prices start from RM3,998.76, with both laptops available locally now.
The new models focus on practical upgrades rather than flashy extras. Dell says the latest generation is 11% thinner and between 9% and 16% lighter than its predecessor, making the laptops easier to carry between the office, home and client meetings. Buyers can choose between Celestial Blue and Platinum Silver finishes for a more modern look than the typical all-black business notebook.
Intel and AMD processor options
Dell offers the Pro Essential 14 and Pro Essential 15 with either Intel Core Series 3 or AMD Ryzen 200 Series processors. Configurations can be equipped with up to 64GB of memory and as much as 1TB of SSD storage, giving businesses room to select a setup that matches everyday office work, heavier multitasking or longer-term deployment needs.
Display choices include an FHD+ panel rated at 400 nits and a sharper 2.5K option capable of reaching 500 nits. The brighter panels should be particularly useful for employees who frequently work near windows or in other well-lit environments. Dell has also enlarged the touchpad by 6%, providing more space for navigation when a mouse is not available.
Built-in security for business users
Security is a central part of the Pro Essential range. Both laptops include a Trusted Platform Module for hardware-based protection, along with biometric sign-in options through either a fingerprint reader or an FHD infrared camera, depending on the selected configuration.
A mechanical camera shutter allows users to physically cover the webcam when it is not needed, while a security lock slot helps businesses secure the laptop in shared or public workspaces. These features make the new models suitable for companies that want essential endpoint protections without moving to a heavier enterprise-class machine.
