Razer has officially unveiled the Razer Pro Type Ergo, a new ergonomic wireless keyboard designed for professionals who spend long hours at their desks, combining comfort-focused design with built-in productivity tools and AI-powered features.
With this release, Razer is expanding its portfolio beyond gaming, bringing its performance-driven approach into the productivity space with a keyboard that prioritises comfort, efficiency and seamless workflows.
Ergonomic Design for All-Day Comfort
The Razer Pro Type Ergo features a split ergonomic layout that keeps hands and arms in a more natural position, helping to reduce strain during extended typing sessions. Despite the split design, the keyboard is tuned to feel familiar, making it easier for users to transition without a steep learning curve.
Users can further customise their typing posture with multiple angle adjustments, including a 10° base slope and five adjustable positions ranging from flat to front and rear tilt configurations. A built-in plush wrist rest provides additional support, reducing pressure on the wrists and improving overall comfort throughout the day.
Razer has also introduced thoughtful layout enhancements such as dual “B” keys, dual space keys and a centrally positioned backspace key, allowing both hands to handle frequently used actions more naturally and reducing unnecessary finger movement.
Low-Profile Keys Built for Productivity
The keyboard uses ultra-low-profile keycaps with shorter travel distance, reducing finger fatigue while maintaining accuracy. The fingertip-shaped keycaps feature subtle indents to guide finger placement, ensuring a more comfortable typing experience.
Internally, sound-dampening layers and tuned stabilisers help deliver a quieter typing experience, making it suitable for office environments, shared workspaces and video calls.
Built-In Controls and AI Integration
The Pro Type Ergo goes beyond traditional keyboards by integrating dedicated productivity tools directly into its layout. It features five macro keys, a dedicated microphone mute button and the Razer Command Dial, all designed to streamline everyday workflows.
Out of the box, the keyboard supports functions such as document navigation, media control and shortcuts for commonly used applications. For advanced users, customisation is available through Razer Synapse, allowing the Command Dial and macro keys to be tailored for specific tasks.
A standout feature is the inclusion of AI Prompt Master, which enables users to access AI-powered tools with a single key. This allows quick actions such as summarising content, drafting emails or generating ideas without switching between applications, making AI a seamless part of daily workflows.
Multi-Device Connectivity and Long Battery Life
Designed for hybrid work environments, the keyboard supports 5-way multi-device connectivity, including Razer HyperSpeed Wireless (2.4GHz), three Bluetooth profiles and USB-C wired mode. This allows users to switch easily between desktops, laptops and tablets.
The built-in rechargeable battery delivers up to three months of typical usage on a single charge, reducing the need for frequent charging and improving convenience for long-term use.
