Samsung has officially introduced the Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G in Malaysia, bringing its latest AI-powered features under “Awesome Intelligence” to the mid-range segment, alongside improvements in performance, camera, durability and long-term software support.
Leading the lineup is the Galaxy A57 5G, which arrives with a slimmer and more refined design, while both devices aim to deliver a more complete everyday smartphone experience with Samsung’s latest One UI 8.5 and AI capabilities.
Awesome Intelligence Expands to More Users
With the new Galaxy A series, Samsung is pushing its AI strategy further down the lineup. Running on One UI 8.5, both devices introduce “Awesome Intelligence”, bringing practical AI tools for productivity and creativity.
New features include Voice Transcription in the Voice Recorder app, allowing users to convert voice recordings into text and even translate them. AI Select can be accessed via the Edge Panel to quickly extract text or perform actions on content, while also supporting drag-and-drop between apps in multi-window mode.
On the imaging side, tools like Object Eraser now deliver more natural edits, while Galaxy A57 5G adds features like Best Face for better group shots and Auto Trim for easier video editing. Circle to Search with Google has also been enhanced with multi-object recognition, making it easier to identify multiple items in a single image.
Samsung is also integrating AI assistants more deeply, with improved Bixby and Gemini support to handle tasks, adjust settings and interact across apps using natural language.
Improved Camera with AI Enhancements
Both the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G feature a triple-camera setup led by a 50MP main sensor, supported by ultra-wide and macro lenses for added flexibility.
Samsung has enhanced image processing with a new ISP, delivering sharper photos and better low-light performance through improved Nightography. The Galaxy A57 5G further benefits from advanced image processing, HDR video support and faster shutter speeds for clearer shots.
AI-based scene optimisation helps balance portraits, preserve skin tones and improve background separation, while the ultra-wide camera captures more in group shots and landscapes.
Strong Performance with Long Battery Life
The Galaxy A57 5G is powered by the Exynos 1680 processor paired to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB of storage, offering smoother multitasking, content creation and gaming performance. It also features a 5,000mAh battery capable of lasting up to two days, with Super Fast Charging 2.0 delivering up to 60% charge in around 30 minutes.
A larger vapor chamber helps maintain performance during extended usage, while both devices feature bright Super AMOLED displays with Vision Booster for improved outdoor visibility.
Durability is also a highlight, with both models rated IP68 for water and dust resistance, offering added peace of mind for everyday use.
As for the Galaxy A37 5G, you are getting the Exynos 1480 processor in either 8GB or 12GB RAM variants with 256GB of storage, it has the same battery capacity as the Galaxy A57 with support for 45W wired fast charging.
Long-Term Software Support and Security
Samsung is committing to longevity with up to six generations of Android OS and One UI updates, along with six years of security patches for both devices.
Security is handled by Samsung Knox Vault, alongside features such as Security & Privacy Dashboard, Auto Blocker, Private Sharing and Theft Protection. A new Private Album feature also allows users to securely store sensitive media, while Privacy Alerts provide real-time notifications on potential risks.
Malaysia Pricing and Promotions
The Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G are available in Malaysia starting 25 March 2026, with the following pricing:
