Apple today unveiled iPhone Air, the thinnest iPhone ever at just 5.6mm, combining a sleek titanium design with pro-level performance and advanced cameras. The new model features Ceramic Shield 2 on the front for 3× better scratch resistance, Ceramic Shield on the back for the first time, and a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion up to 120Hz. Powered by the A19 Pro, N1, and C1X chips, iPhone Air delivers top performance while maintaining all-day battery life.
iPhone Air uses a Grade 5 titanium frame with a high-gloss mirror finish and precision-milled plateau on the back to house the cameras and Apple silicon. This architecture maximises internal space for a larger battery while keeping the design incredibly thin and light. It also includes the Action button and Camera Control for instant access to key features. With 3000 nits of outdoor brightness — the highest on iPhone — and 2× better outdoor contrast, the display is easy to view in any setting.

The new 18MP Centre Stage front camera debuts on iPhone Air, using a square sensor to capture wider shots, record 4K HDR stabilised video, and enable Dual Capture with front and rear cameras simultaneously. For group selfies, AI automatically adjusts the frame between portrait and landscape to include everyone. The 48MP Fusion Main camera offers the equivalent of four lenses, with popular 28mm and 35mm focal lengths, a large 2.0µm quad-pixel sensor, and sensor-shift OIS for low-light performance. It also includes an optical-quality 2× Telephoto. A new imaging pipeline enables next-gen portraits with Focus Control and updated Photographic Styles, including a new Bright mode.
iPhone Air runs on the A19 Pro chip, which features a new 6-core CPU and upgraded 5-core GPU capable of running AAA mobile games. Neural Accelerators in each GPU core provide 3× peak GPU compute over the last generation, boosting on-device AI capabilities. The N1 chip powers Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread for improved wireless performance, while the C1X modem delivers up to 2× faster cellular performance than C1 and 30% better energy efficiency.

Thanks to its redesigned architecture and software optimisation, iPhone Air provides all-day battery life. A new Adaptive Power Mode in iOS 26 learns usage patterns to conserve energy intelligently. The device is eSIM-only, supported by over 500 carriers worldwide — including Maxis, CelcomDigi, U Mobile, and Yes in Malaysia. eSIM offers better security, flexibility, and easier international roaming setup.
iPhone Air ships with iOS 26, bringing a refreshed design with Liquid Glass, enhanced Apple Intelligence features like Live Translation, smarter call/message screening, improved CarPlay, Maps, Wallet, and the new Apple Games hub.

Apple is launching a new line of accessories for iPhone Air: the iPhone Air Case with MagSafe (frost, shadow), iPhone Air Bumper (four colors), Crossbody Strap (10 colors, recycled yarns), and the iPhone Air MagSafe Battery, which can extend video playback up to 40 hours when attached.
iPhone Air is made with 35% recycled content, including 80% recycled titanium and 100% recycled cobalt in the battery. It introduces a new 3D-printed titanium USB-C port, using 33% less material than conventional methods. Packaging is 100% fibre-based and fully recyclable.
iPhone Air will be available in space black, cloud white, light gold, and sky blue, starting with 256GB storage, as well as 512GB and 1TB options. iPhone Air starts at RM4,999. Pre-orders begin Friday, September 12, with availability beginning Friday, September 19. Customers can also trade in eligible iPhone 13 or newer models to receive RM1,000–RM4,400 in credit via Apple Trade In.
