Finally, the Google Pixel 5 has been announced at the price of $699, featuring a Snapdragon 765G processor.

Pixel 5 uses a Snapdragon 765G chipset

Unlike the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, the Pixel 5 did not sport a flagship processor; this time, it’s powered by a Snapdragon 765G processor that come with 5G support.  There’s only one storage option — 8GB RAM paired with 128GB storage.

Same camera hardware, better camera software

This time, Google focused on improving its camera software instead of introducing new technology like last year’s Motion Sense. It comes with an 8MP front camera, a 12.2MP rear camera that is equipped with OIS and EIS and another 16MP ultra wide camera that is able to shoot 107, but what makes it better is being able to shoot portrait images using Night Sight. Google also included three new stabilisation modes for video shooting and a new AI-powered “Portrait Light” mode.

Pixel 5 priced lesser than the original Pixel 4

The Pixel 5 has a 6-inch display and comes in two colours — Just Black and Sorta Sage. It has a 4,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging, wireless charging and reverse wireless charging. It’s not surprising that the phone is priced $100 less than the Pixel 4 when it was launched, but then again, the Pixel 5 isn’t using a flagship processor.
