On the back of the launch of the Samsung Galaxy A41, Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71; is the all-new Galaxy A31; it looks like a complete set of variants in the series but we doubt Samsung is anywhere near done yet.

The new device succeeds last year’s Galaxy A30 and packs improvements across the board namely in the camera department – you get a quad 48MP setup with an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 5MP depth sensor and a 5MP macro lens. For selfies, you also get a 20MP shooter. Pretty adequate set of cameras we get on this affordable device.

The display here is a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED panel with a waterdrop notch. It pushes a 1080p resolution and comes equipped with an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

Under the hood is an octa-core chipset – most likely a Mediatek Helio P65; alongside up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which is expandable via microSD card of up to 512GB.

Another massive selling point is that it’s packed with a massive 5,000mAh battery pack that supports up to 15W of fast charging.

Its local pricing and availability has not been disclosed yet, but judging by the price of the Galaxy M31 of RM1,099 – the A31 should be priced RM200-RM300 less than its superior counterpart.
