In addition to revealing a prototype of the first foldable PC, Lenovo has also created a new series to cater for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). With the name ThinkBook S, this series makes it debut with two models — the ThinkBook 13s and ThinkBook 14s.

Starting with the smaller model, the ThinkBook 13s sports a 13.3-inch FHD display that supports Dolby Vision and uses an anti-glare IPS panel with 300nits brightness. With a bezel less than 5.5mm, the ThinkBook 13s is made with anodised aluminium on its covers with Mineral Gray finish yet it weighs less than 1.4kg. Moreover, it comes with a 180-degree lay-flat hinge that allows heated air to easily exit, extending the reliability and durability of the laptop.

The device is powered by up to 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor and runs on Windows 10 Pro. Its configuration starts with 4GB RAM but can be increased up to 16GB, and it has either M.2 SATA SSD 256GB storage or up to M.2 PCIe SSD 512GB storage.

In terms of security, the ThinkBook 13s has a physical camera shutter, a touch fingerprint reader and also a default discrete TPM 2.0. It also comes with a USB Type-C port, two USB Type-A port, a HDMI port and a port for combo mic or audio, in addition to its battery lasting up to 11 hours.

Similarly to the ThinkBook 13s, the ThinkBook 14s has the same 180-degree lay-flat hinge and anodised aluminium on its covers. It is slightly larger at 14 inches and has bezels less than 4.9mm, in addition to weighing less than 1.5kg.

The ThinkBook 14s can be powered by up to 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, and also runs on Windows 10 Pro. It also has the same storage configuration as its sibling, but it comes with either 8GB or 16GB RAM.

The device also has similar security features and ports, but its battery life is less lasting as it can only last up to 10 hours.

The ThinkBook 13s and ThinkBook 14s will be available in late May this year, and the former will start at an estimated price of $729 while the latter will start at an estimated price of $749.
