As we are about to brace a flood of new smartphone releases, Xiaomi has taken the stage at MWC 2019 to refresh its Mi MIX 3 with a more powerful 7nm Snapdragon 855 chipset and support for 5G connectivity.
Xiaomi claims that the Mi MIX 3 5G is at least 45% faster than its pre-5G model, gaming performance is also improved by 20% all thanks to the new Adreno 640 GPU, the Snapdragon 855 also features Qualcomm’s 4th generation AI engine that is three times faster than the Snapdragon 845 AIE.To ensure consistent performance on the Mi MIX 3 5G, Xiaomi has also added a highly advanced cooling system with the Rogers HeatSORB thermal material and a passive heatpipe that comprises six layers of graphite.
Apart from that, the Mi MIX 3 still has the same 12MP AI dual camera on the back and a 24MP+2MP selfie camera setup, alongside with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage. The Mi MIX 3 5G will be available in Onyx Black and Sapphire Blue color options, it will retail for €599 (RM2,768) in European markets and will be available for purchase starting May this year.
