iPhones may have one of the best speakers and it plays really loudly, but no matter how good it is, we can’t avoid the fact that the audio would sound muffled or unclear when we’re carrying out activities such as cooking, showering, and many more. Sometimes being out in an open space may also result in poor audio. Some may suggest wearing earphones or use a Bluetooth speaker to get a better audio experience but then when you come think of it, earphones are not always convenient and not everyone could afford or wants to bring a Bluetooth speaker everywhere they go. So what can you do to enhance or boost your iPhone speakers audio? Here’s some ideas for you where you can use it when you travel, going out or just for fun.
Turn iPhone upside down
Your iPhone speakers are usually placed on the bottom, and it usually sounds fine, until you placed it on a table, desk or counter top. In most cases, many would place their phones standing upwards and leaned against a wall or an object, with the speakers being blocked by the table since the speakers are on the bottom. What you could do is, place your iPhone upside down where the speakers are on the top and the head at the bottom so the speakers won’t be covered.
iPhone In A Bowl
This might not be something new to you, but it really works. Simply place your iPhone into a bowl, this time with the iPhone pointing downwards and it will automatically allow the sound waves to bounce off the bottom and sides from the bowl and fill up the room with loud and clear audio.
Cup Hand Around Speaker End Of iPhone
This is by far one of the most common action that is carried out by most smartphone users. Again, this might not be something new, but it works. By cupping your hand around the speaker end of your iPhone, the sound waves will bounce off from your hands and towards your ears. This works best when you are watching Youtube or holding your iPhone while attempting to listen to the audio while in crowded or noisy places. This could also work for other smartphones.
Late Night EQ
This trick was discovered by Cnet which could help you to boost the volume of your iPhone speakers just by tapping on a few buttons on your iPhone settings. To use this trick, simply go to your iPhone’s “Setting”, click on “Music”, then tap on “EQ” and select “Late Night”. Most of the options can help boost the volume of your iPhone but according to Cnet, the “Late Night” option works the best. However, if you turn on your volume to the maximum while using the “Late Night” mode, you’ll hear a little distortion.
DIY iPhone Speaker
If you’re on a budget but you’re dying to have a boosted speakers, then try this DIY trick. All you need is two paper cups and a toilet roll. Cut a hole on each cup that fits the toilet roll and cut a small hole that fits the size of your iPhone on the toilet roll, cause that’s where you’ll be inserting your iPhone into. This DIY idea is easy and does not take more than five minutes time to create as it does not require any tape or glue. Once you’re done, enjoy music from your beautifully done DIY iPhone speakers.
