The Honor 9 was launched not too long ago, marking the annual refresh of the Huawei subsidiary’s flagship lineup. Succeeding the Honor 8, more than 1 million shipments of the Honor 9 have been recorded so far, before hitting a month.

According to Honor on the company’s official Twitter account, the Honor 9 has managed to reach more than a million shipments in 28 days, which is quite the achievement for a company like Honor. This milestone of course, pales in comparison to that of Samsung and Apple’s smartphone sales. Nevertheless, Honor assumes this figure as a feat for them.

The Honor 9 is basically a Huawei P10 without the Leica branded cameras. It sports a Full HD display measuring at 5.15-inches, the same Kirin 960 processor with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The camera department features the same specs as the P10 – a 20MP monochrome sensor and a 12MP RGB sensor for the dual rear camera setup, along with an 8MP selfie camera. Also like the Huawei P10, the Honor 9 packs a 3,200mAh battery.

The Honor 9 should definitely be considered as a serious option if you’re not willing to break the bank for the likes of the Huawei P10. That is if you’re willing to forgo the Leica branding.
