The tablet market may be declining, but this doesn’t mean that companies should stop manufacturing them. Soon, Xiaomi will prove a tablet’s worth again as it teases the release of the Mi Pad 3 on its Taobao page, if the previous leaks were true, the Mi Pad 3 will run Windows 10 out of the box and features an impressive hardware package at an affordable price range, it isn’t clear if there will be an Android variant of the tablet.
Performance of the Mi Pad 3 is delivered by a 7th Gen Intel Core m3-7Y30 processor mated to 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM with 128GB or 256GB storage options, the tablet also features a 9.7-inch 2048×1536 resolution display, 16-megapixel main and 8-megapixel front cameras, and a 8290mAh battery that could last up to 13.2 hours of web browsing time while supporting the Quick Charge 3.0 standard via its USB-C port.
The Mi Pad 3 is also impressive in terms of aesthetics as the tablet measures 6.08mm thin and 380g, users can also use the tablet with an optional keyboard dock, which can be purchase at an affordable 99 Chinese Yuan (RM64). With the Mi Pad 3, Xiaomi has made a rather impressive Windows 10 tablet that comes with a decent amount of RAM and storage, while the Core M chip isn’t going to be a champ in gaming, it should be able to handle simply 1080p video editing without too much issues.
The tablet is expected to retail at 1999 Chinese Yuan (RM1,293) and 2299 Chinese Yuan (RM1,487) for the 128GB and 256GB model respectively, let’s hope Xiaomi makes this tablet available soon.
