Xiaomi released a new 4K action camera with 6-axis stabilization

Xiaomi has released a new action cam called the Mijia 4K Compact Action Camera, aside from the 4K video recording, what makes this camera more attractive is that it supports 6-axis stabilization, a very useful feature for those of you that do a lot of action activities.

The camera weighs around 99 grams, offers 3D motion noise reduction, lens distortion correction and will support recording in RAW format. For easy viewing, the action camera comes with a 2.4-inch display so you don’t need to estimate what you are shooting. The camera on the device is a Sony camera sensor with a f/2.8 aperture, 3.2mm focal length and 145-degrees wide-angle lens. It will shoot 4K videos and images but videos are limited to 30 FPS in 4K but will shoot at 60 FPS in 1080p.

The 6-axis stabilization comprises of  3-axis gyroscope and 3-axis accelerometer system that ensures stable video and offers nine different modes which include, slow motion, timer shooting, delay camera, and high-speed continuous shooting. The battery life is what you would expect from an action cam, 2 hours while shooting 4K videos and 3 hours when shooting in 1080p. It supports up to 64GB memory card and has connectivity options like WiFi and Bluetooth 4.1

The Mijia 4K Action Camera will not break your wallet as it is priced at CNY 699 (RM448.12) making it very affordable for the features it offers. Whether it will be available in other countries is still unsure as of now but there are always options like Taobao and ezbuy!
