The Xiaomi Mi TV will be finally be coming to Malaysia this year – making it Xiaomi’s first display product to arrive in the country.
According to Amanz, Xiaomi Country Manager for Malaysia and Singapore Nicolas Shi told the news portal that the company plans to release the Mi TV alongside a host of other products too including a gaming monitor, the Mi Air Purifier, a Mi Watch, a Mi router and more.
Considering that the Mi TV is available in neighboring Indonesia, we can expect the same models to arrive, which are the Xiaomi Mi TV 4 smart TV series.
The Mi TV 4 is a 55-inch mammoth that pushes a 4K UHD resolution and is priced at Rp 5mil (RM1,395) and comes with a 10W speaker and 2GB RAM. It runs on the Xiaomi PatchWall 3.0 that’s based on Android TV 9.0. There’s also a smaller 43-inch FHD model that comes with 1GB RAM and costs Rp 3.3mil (RM920).
There’s no work on when the products will arrive in the country yet, but it’s towards the end of 2020, then we could very well see newer models hit our shelves instead.
