Xiaomi has today introduced the Redmi 12 5G, a budget 5G phone that’s powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor paired to 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage, making it the most powerful budget 5G phone within the segment.
The Redmi 12 5G features a large 6.79-inch FHD+ DotDisplay screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, a dual-camera setup that comprises a 50MP main and 2MP depth camera, 8MP front camera, and a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, matching the offerings of its competitors.
Other features of the Redmi 12 5G includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, IR blaster and IP53 dust and splash resistance.
Excited about getting one? The Redmi 12 5G is a telco exclusive device for now and can only be obtained at Celcom and Digi for RM49 when you sign up to the Celcom MEGA 98 and Digi Postpaid 90 postpaid plans with a 24-month contract, though we expect Xiaomi to make this available in the open market soon, and we will be sure to update this space when they do.
