Xiaomi’s 34-inch curved gaming monitor is finally here in Malaysia, making it one of the first gaming items from Xiaomi’s ecosystem of products to arrive in the country – there’s a bit of hype heading into the launch which is due to Xiaomi’s reputation for producing quality products at affordable prices.
Priced at RM1,999 – it still costs less than its closest rival, the ASUS ROG Strix 32-inch XG32VQR, which will set you back at least RM2,000.
The Xiaomi 32-inch curved monitor comes with a WQHD panel pushing a resolution of 3440x1440p at an aspect ratio of 21:9. The curvature on the display here is rated at 1500R so it’s no overly concaved, which some people prefer.
Complementing its smooth 144Hz refresh rate is an impressive 4ms response time which is crucial for gaming, while its AMD FreeSync support lets you reduce screen-tearing without relying on V-Sync, which adds input delay. For creators, the monitor offers an impressive 121% sRGB colour output too.
The monitor tilts 15 degrees backwards, 5 degrees forward, and swivels at 40 degrees. The height is adjustable too while a VESA mount is also present should you want it on your wall. In terms of ports you get two HDMI 2.0 ports, two DP 1.4 ports, as well as your usual audio and power ports.
The monitor can be purchased via Xiaomi’s official Lazada page here, or via the brand’s Authorized Mi Stores across the country.
