With reports going around that a handful of UniFi, Streamyx and P1 customers have received their invite to subscribe to Webe, it was only a matter of time until the pricing for the upcoming postpaid service was revealed. Today, a report from local tech site Lowyat.Net reveals that those who were invited to subscribe to Webe in its current stages are able to enjoy unlimited data for below RM 85 per month.
Judging from the Lowyat report, it seems that the Webe postpaid plan will come with a monthly commitment of RM 210.94. However, UniFi, Streamyx and P1 Users will be treated to an RM 63.30 discount. Furthermore, if your phone supports the LTE 850MHz band, customers will be further entitled to an additional RM 63.30 discount. After subtracting the monthly commitment with the discounts given, the Webe postpaid plan can be priced as low as RM 83.74 per month. That said, the first payment will be slightly more expensive as an additional upfront payment of RM 106 is required to get on Webe’s postpaid plan.
So what do you get for RM 83.74? Besides the unlimited data, Webe postpaid plan subscribers will also receive unlimited SMS and RM 500 worth of voice calls per month. Subscribers will also need to obtain a Personal Wi-Fi Pass from Webe’s website which costs RM 6.36 per two hours should they wish to share their data with other people via tethering.
In the meantime, those who are selected for the Webe postpaid plan are able to register themselves though the Webe online store or at Webe Lounges located at Sunway Pyramid, Queensbay Mall at Pulau Pinang, and Komtar at Johor Bharu.
