This is a pretty big expansion in Malaysian telco history, U Mobile, Malaysia’s most dynamic and innovative telco, announce an aggressive expansion strategy to strengthen its network through the roll-out of additional 1000 3G and 1000 4G LTE sites, which is target to complete by end of 2015. The expansion will cover key cities and strategic areas within the country, which include Wilayah Persekutuan, Selangor, Seremban, Port Dickson, Nilai, Ipoh, Lumut, Pahang, Johor Bahru, Muar, Kluang, Segamat and Batu Pahat. This expansion will allow the telco to increase its network capacity and needs to focus on offering superior high-speed 3G and 4G LTE mobile experiences to all consumers across Malaysia.
In addition to the site expansion, U Mobilehas recently completed an upgrade of its Business Support Systems which entailed a migration to a new billing platform that will enable end to end real-time tracking and customer fulfillment, it will also allow the company to deliver more state-of-the-art products and services to cater the demanding consumers.
