Touch ‘n Go is opening up pilot testing for RFID toll payments to everyone

Touch ‘n Go have open up pilot testing for their new RFID method of paying tolls around Klang Valley. The new system is in collaboration with the Touch ‘n Go app which you will need to have as your RFID tag will be connected to the app.

To register as a tester, head over to their Registration Page and fill in a simple form, the company will contact you for further details. It is recommended, if you are a frequent toll user, to signup for this as the FAQ has stated that they will be stopping the sale of SmartTags effective immediately. The FAQ also states that they will be starting the pilot testing on 3rd September 2018 and it will be free 15 minutes install as long as you have signup to be a tester. This toll payment system is not new, as countries like Taiwan and South Korea for a while now as well as countries in Europe and America continent. Currently, RFID toll lanes have been set up on major highways like:

1. Kuala Lumpur – Karak Expressway (KLK)
2. Damansara – Puchong Expressway (LDP)
3. Kemuning – Shah Alam Highway (LKSA)
4. Cheras – Kajang Highway (GRANDSAGA)
5. Lebuhraya Grand Sepadu (GRANDSEPADU)
6. Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS)
7. Kajang Dispersal Link Expressway (SILK)
8. Maju Expressway (MEX)
9. Duta – Ulu Kelang Expressway (DUKE)
10. Stormwater Management And Road Tunnel (SMART)
11. New Pantai Expressway (NPE)
12. Besraya Expressway (BESRAYA)
13. Sistem Penyuraian Trafik KL Barat (SPRINT)
14. Kuala Lumpur – Kuala Selangor Expressway (LATAR)
15. Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH)
16. Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE)
