Despite sharing the same fate as Huawei in not being able to have Google Mobile Services, this isn’t stopping Honor from delivering Android 10 based Magic UI 3.0 to its existing devices. As of now, Honor is delivering the update in batches to the following devices:
- Honor 20
- Honor 20 Pro
- Honor View 20
- Honor 9X
Honor is also updating the Honor 10 Lite and Honor 20 Lite to Magic UI 3.0 in May 2020. Surprisingly, older flagships such as the Honor 10 and Honor View 10 are excluded from the update, as their hardware is perfectly capable of handling Android 10.
Magic UI 3.0 brings significant changes to the user experience, users will find their phones more responsive with smoother transitions, a new dark mode that soothes the eyes when using the phone in dark rooms, multi screen collaboration with Huawei/Honor laptops on the higher end devices and better photography features.
As the updates are being delivered in batches, do hit that System Update option in your settings from time to time to look out for it.
