Enough with the leaks. The ZTE Nubia Z11 Max has finally been unveiled in China. Carrying the Max name like Xiaomi’s recently launched Mi Max, the Nubia Z11 Max turns out to be a phablet as well, but not too much of a handful like Xiaomi’s phablet.
For starters, the ZTE Nubia Z11 Max sports a reasonable 6-inch AMOLED display at 1080p resolution, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phablet boasts ultra slim bezels for its size, with a 83.27% screen-to-body ratio. Underneath the hood is an impressive mid range Snapdragon 652 SoC clocked at 1.8GHz alongside 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded via micro SD.
The Nubia Z11 Max features a 16MP PDAF camera, which is a Sony IMX298 sensor, with f/2.0 aperture. On the front sits an 8MP selfie shooter with a pixel size of 1.4um for better light capturing. The phablet packs a massive 4,000mAh, which although pales in comparison with the 4,850mAh battery in the Xiaomi Max, is promised good battery life with the help of Nubia’s NeoPower 2.0 technology. Quick Charge 3.0 is support, which means 10 minutes of charging can provide up to 13.7 hours of battery life. Other specs include a rear fingerprint sensor, the support for two 4G SIM cards, and enhanced audio via an independent Hi-Fi decoder chip.
This fresh phablet by Nubia runs on Android Lollipop with Nubia 3.9.9. The phone is set to go on sale on June 16, carrying a price tag of 1,999 CNY (RM1,233.55). For football fans, crowd favorite Cristiano Ronaldo appears to be the brand ambassador for Nubia. Hence, a special edition of the Nubia Z11 Max autographed by Ronaldo will be available, along with his wallpapers and a couple of special gifts for 2,299 CNY (RM1,418.68). The Cristiano Ronaldo edition of the phablet will go on sale on June 18.
The ZTE Nubia Z11 Max flaunts a spec sheet that places it right next to the higher end variant of Xiaomi Max, packing the same processor and same amount of RAM. The Nubia Z11 Max however, might just turn out to be more practical since it features a slightly smaller screen than Xiaomi’s phablet. What do you think?
