The Nubia Red Magic 3S has been around in the Chinese market for a good month now – it’s got a single, but very important, upgrade over the regular Nubia Red Magic 3 which is the use of the Snapdragon 855+ chipset.
Reports are suggesting that the phone could make its global launch this October 16, at the price of $479 (RM2,010). The standard Red Magic 3 retailed at around RM2,199, when the 3S hits however, we reckon it will cost more. For reference, the Black Shark 2, which has the same Snapdragon 855+ chipset, is priced from RM2,499 – the Red Magic 3S should cost around the same.
As we reported before, the phone will have similar specs as the normal Red Magic 3, meaning it gets up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, a 90Hz 6.65-inch AMOLED display. There’s also a single 48MP camera at the back along with its signature cooling system and internal turbo fan.
We’re not sure if Malaysia will get the phone at the same time during the global launch, but this is a good sign that it’s arrival here isn’t far off. You can purchase the current Red Magic 3 at their Shopee store here, or wait for retailers such as DirectD to bring in the global variants.
