Acer has announced the 2023 Acer Swift X 16 laptop, which succeeds the 2022 model by having it equipped with AMD Ryzen 7040 series processors and RTX 40 Series GPUs, it also features an upgraded 16-inch 3.2K OLED panel that refreshes at 120Hz, and all of these improvements reside in a premium aluminum design that weighs 1.9kg and measures 17.9mm slim, this will most definitely make content creators on-the-go drool.

The 2023 Swift X 16 will be powered by up to an AMD Ryzen 9 7940H processor and GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU, it is able to dissipate heat to keep it working in optimal conditions with the upgraded TwinAir cooling and newly engineered thermal arrangements that boosts air intake by up to 36%, improved airflow is also contributed by an air-inlet keyboard design, so it remains cool even in extended heavy workflows.

On top of that, the 2023 Swift X 16 comes up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 2TB of PCIe Gen4 SSD, it even features essential I/O such as two USB-C 4.0 ports, HDMI 2.1 and a MicroSD card slot, while it supports WiFi 6E connectivity and has a fingerprint reader that supports Windows Hello login.

For conference calls, the 2023 Swift X 16 features a Full HD camera with Acer’s PurifiedView suite of AI features such as Background Blur, Automatic Framing and Eye Contact Technology, there’s also Acer’s Temporal Noise Reduction technology that improves low light images.

The 2023 Acer Swift X 16 (SFX16-61G) will be available in North America in July starting at US$1,249.99 (RM5,571), which is very reasonable considering the portability and performance it offers.
