Tesla has officially introduced the New Model Y in Malaysia, marking its debut at Pavilion Damansara Heights until March 2, 2025, and Mid Valley Southkey from February 19 to February 23, 2025. As the world’s best-selling vehicle with top-tier safety ratings, the latest version of the Model Y comes with significant upgrades in design, performance, and efficiency.
The Launch Series features a customized launch badge at the rear, a puddle light badge, and doorsill plates with the ‘Launch Series’ wordmark. Inside, the center charging console now includes silver accents, while the all-black vegan suede interior trim enhances the premium feel.
Taking inspiration from the Cybertruck and Cybercab, the New Model Y features a cross-car lightbar at the front and an industry-first indirect reflective body panel taillight, giving it a futuristic and distinctive look. The new ‘Glacier Blue’ paint option adds a unique, nature-inspired aesthetic.

The cabin is now quieter than ever, thanks to double-layer glass for all windows and an upgraded panoramic glass roof that reduces UV rays and heat seven times more effectively than before. The redesigned wheels and rear diffuser enhance aerodynamics, improving stability, efficiency, and rear-wheel downforce at high speeds.
The New Model Y carries over premium features from the Model 3, including ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, and a second-row 8” touchscreen display. The Long Range variant comes equipped with 15 speakers and a subwoofer, while the Rear-Wheel Drive variant features 9 speakers. Additionally, electronically controlled rear seats allow for easy adjustments or folding, providing over 2,130 liters of storage space.

Charging the New Model Y is fast and convenient with Tesla’s expanding charging network in Malaysia. The vehicle can gain up to 266 km of range in just 15 minutes using a Supercharger. Tesla now operates 14 Supercharging Stations with 64 Superchargers and 15 Destination Charging Stations with 70 Destination Chargers across Malaysia. The recent opening of the V4 Supercharging Station at The Gardens Mall further enhances accessibility for Tesla owners.
The New Model Y is available in two variants:
- Rear-Wheel Drive, priced from RM 195,450
- Long Range, priced from RM 242,450
The Launch Series is available for a limited time, and customers can now place their orders on Tesla’s official website:
