The Vivo X70 series has gone official in China a few moments ago, but in spite of that, a close friend of ours have given us an exclusive look at the Vivo X70 Pro’s photography capabilities, he is none other than Lee Fong Yeen, a photography hobbyist who have previously shot amazing portraits for us on an iPhone 12 Pro Max we provided him a few months ago.

This round, Fong Yeen decided to attempt low light photography of the Vivo X70 Pro’s improved camera system, which now comprise of a main 50MP Sony IMX766V sensor with gimbal stabilization and ZEISS T* glass coating that aims to reduce light glare of photos, along with a 12MP ultrawide, 12MP portrait and 8MP periscopic lens capable of 5x optical zoom.

As you can see in these samples, the Vivo X70 Pro’s main camera is capable of capturing the milky way with significantly reduced light flare from the stars and a nearby light source, the details of the grass and trees are also preserved well although there seem to be an extreme sharpening job, but nonetheless this is one impressive smartphone camera that you can look forward to for great low light shots.

The Vivo X70 series is expected to launch in Malaysia on 22 September 2021 with two models – the X70 and X70 Pro, more details will be share on the site as the time approaches.
