A month ago, Google has announced that it will be taking in user suggestions on naming Android N, encouraging fans to play their part in submitting names for the latest iteration of the Android OS. Android’s Senior Vice President, Hiroshi Lockheimer has taken to Twitter a couple of teaser images, dropping some big hints about the name of Android N, and the hinting isn’t subtle at all.
Lockheimer posted on Twitter a screenshot of his Chrome OS desktop, with a “Nutella” being Google Searched, with the caption “Just testing some stuff out…”. If it isn’t obvious enough, it seems like Nutella will likely be the official name for Android N, which is currently in Developer Preview 3. A little over a week ago, Lockheimer hinted on Twitter with an image of a dessert menu, with “Nutella Pizzetta” as one of the dessert names. On the flipside of things, this could just be a troll by the Android SVP. Last year, Dave Burke, Vice President of Android’s engineering department teased a possible Android Milkshake, before Android 6.0 was officially unveiled as Android Marhsmallow.
Based on what has happened before, this could go two ways, as a legit teaser or just another troll from Google. Will it be Android Nutella? What do you think?
