Time to say goodbye to one of the most rebellious phones in the modern age of smartphones, as Nextbit refers to its Nextbit Robin users. The company responsible behind the making of the unique handset from 2015 has announced that phone and chat support for the Nextbit Robin will end on the 31st of July.
This latest announcement comes nearly six months since Razer acquired Nextbit back in late January this year. The Nextbit Robin sported a design like no other, along with pretty decent specs even by today’s standards, and featured cloud storage space as well, which was the main focus of the phone.
Although phone and chat support will be ceased for the Nextbit Robin in about two weeks, whether or not software updates will continue remains a mystery. The phone received Android Nougat 7.1.1 a month ago, but will likely not go on board with Android O in the future.
The Nextbit Robin is also currently being sold for a price of an entry level phone by a trusted seller on eBay. The handset never really got into the mainstream market, but if it still peaks your interest, get it while you still can!
