Spotify is a great music streaming service that has changed the way I listen to music, after using the service I rarely have my music downloaded anymore. Of course, my family loves Spotify as well and shares my account, it gets annoying when my music stops playing because they are using my account to play music or I find one additional playlist that I did not add.
Today, Spotify has solved that problem by introducing Spotify Family, a new plan that basically lets your family sign up as a Spotify Premium user under your account and supports up to four family members. With Spotify Family, every user will have its own playlist and recommendations depending on the music they listen, so you can be assured that your own playlist will no longer be affected.
In terms of pricing it’s pretty awesome, each additional family member will get 50% off the original Spotify Premium subscription fee, the current subscription fee in Malaysia starts from RM14.90 so you should be paying an addition RM7.40 for each family member that you want to include under your account. While this service has just been announced today in the US, it should reach here pretty soon as Spotify is in the process in rolling out the Spotify Family plan.
