Available in both 8 and 9.7 inches, the Galaxy Tab A comes with a quad-core 1.2GHz processor with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of flash expandable via MicroSD, 5-megapixel main and 2-megapixel front cameras and comes preloaded with Android Lolllipop out of the box. What’s disappointing with these two devices is that despite of its acceptable performance internals, their screen resolutions are limited at XGA (1024×768) however with a 4:3 screen aspect ratio, they both serve as quite a good reading device if you aren’t too particular about that resolution.
The Galaxy Tab A tablets are the first of its kind to support the company’s S Pen out of the Note product line up, which users are able to take notes with accuracy and capture screenshots with ease and save them with Samsung’s useful S-Note software. To complete the device’s value, Samsung is also offering 100GB of free Microsoft OneDrive storage for two years and offering freeGalaxy Gifts downloadable content.
Thinking to grab a Galaxy Tab A, head on to Samsung retail stores and authorized resellers now as both the 8 and 9.7-inch model of the tablet is available at RM1,299 and RM1,599 respectively with LTE connectivity and inclusive of GST.
