Dear readers, if you have been following our post. You should know that we have received a Samsung NX mini review unit 2 weeks back then. So let us jump into the introduction. Let see what we have got here, it features an Ultra Slim (22.5mm)thickness and Light(158g) Design. A 3.0 inch Flip-up and Touch Screen Enabled is installed at the front panel. It also comes with a 20.5 MP BSI CMOS Sensor as well as a Wide Lens for Self Portrait (24mm, 35mm Conversion) to finish up the masterpiece. It also shoots Full HD Video (1080@30p). In terms of ISO, it is ranged at 160-128000 and with a software boost to (Extended to 100-25600). At last but not least, NFC/Wi-Fi is also installed to provide more convenience to user to share and transfer the pictures.

Right now, let us go into the camera build up. It has a very a very sleek design, and basically it has all the basic components that a camera should has. It features a Xenon flash in front and a Wide Lens for Self Portrait. It can at least fit in 5 heads (including the camera man) when you are taking a selfie shot. It is really wide and you will never miss a shot. A very good selfie camera indeed.

Below is the left side of the camera body, basically there is nothing there as you can only see how slim is the camera after attaching the lens. You can anytime slot it into your pockets.

This will be the front panel. It has a Video Record button, Menu button, Mode button and all the necessary navigation buttons. A 3.0 inch Flip-up and Touch Screen Enabled is installed at the front panel.

Following is the right side of the camera body, it has a Mini HDMI output, Micro USB Port to let you transfer picture and charge the camera. Followed by Micro SD Card slot and a 2,330 mAh Lithium-ion battery. The battery can last about 300+ shots.

This will be the top view of the NX Mini. It has a camera shutter button, Power button and Direct Link button that lets you share your pictures in group to any Smart Phones and Tablet (Samsung SMART CAMERA App is required, you can download from the Play Store or App Store). In addition, it has build in WiFi and NFC connection that lets you share pictures toFacebook, Flickr, Picasa, Dropbox, and Email.

Pros

The Samsung NX Mini is superb for capturing selfie as it has a very wide lens that doesn’t require you to have long hand take a picture of yourself. With the help of the Tiltable 3.0 inch Flip-up Screen, you can have perfect shot by looking at the display during selfie. In addition, it has really good face detection function.

Cons

We find the NX mini has some issue in identifying the the right exposure to use when we are shooting picture in Auto mode. The pictures tend to turn out darker where we can use a better combination of Shutter Speed and Aperature to shoot a better picture.

All in all, it is a good compact camera. And needless to say, the Samsung NX Mini is really good for selfie. We would rate this camera 3.5/5.
