The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 is the latest Samsung foldable device and also the successor to last year’s Galaxy Fold. It’s renamed to match the Galaxy Z Flip that was launched earlier this year but it folds just like the Galaxy Fold.

Display

The Galaxy Z Fold2 comes with a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display in its folded state, but you’ll get a 7.6-inch display once you unfold it. Both displays support HDR10+ and instead of a notch in the corner, Samsung has replaced that with a punch-hole camera. The ultra-thin glass that was used in the Galaxy Z Flip is also used in the Galaxy Z Fold2, so it’s less prone to damage but still more fragile than the average smartphone screen.

Internal specs

As expected, the Galaxy Z Fold2 is equipped with a Snapdragon 865+ chipset and 12GB RAM paired with 256GB storage. It has a 4,500mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging, 11W wireless charging and also reverse wireless charging.

Five cameras in total

As mentioned, the phone comes with a punch-hole camera and this applies to both its folded and unfolded state. Samsung did not officially reveal the camera specs, but we’re expecting two 10MP punch-hole camera and three rear cameras that consists of two 12MP lens and another lens that could be 12MP, 64MP or even 108MP.

Though Samsung has announced the Galaxy Z Fold2, the price is still unknown; however, more details will be available in September.
