The Galaxy Z Fold 2 was launched in August last year, but it looks like Samsung will be launching the Galaxy Z Fold 3 earlier this year.
Galaxy Z Fold 3 launching earlier this year
Despite the pandemic, Samsung’s plans for its next foldable phone seems to be going smoothly; the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is expected to debut in May, which is three months earlier than usual.
Almost similar design + upgraded specs
Based on some leaked renders, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will have a familiar design that resembles its predecessors, but it will have the latest Galaxy S21’s camera design and will also come with stylus support. It should also have a stylus compartment, unlike the Galaxy S21 Ultra that required a specific phone case to keep the stylus.
Samsung’s first under-display camera phone?
There’s also no front camera on the screen which leads to the speculation that Samsung may be introducing an under-display camera this time. We’re also expecting this phone to be powered by either the Snapdragon 888 chip or the Exynos 2100, in addition to featuring OLED screens with up to 120Hz refresh rate.
