Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy S23 series flagship smartphones, comprising the S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra, these phones look very similar to their predecessors but come with improved performance and better cameras.
The S23 series are powered by a customized Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, it is a pixel binned SoC that can reach peak speeds of 3.36GHz, making it faster than other phones equipped with the same chip that are clocked at 3.2GHz, the S23 and S23+ will come with 8GB RAM, while the S23 Ultra will come with 12GB RAM. In terms of storage, the S23 is offered in 128GB and 256GB storage options, while the S23+ and S23 Ultra are offered with max storage capacities of 512GB and 1TB respectively.

The S23 series retain similar display sizes and Dynamic AMOLED 2X 120Hz panels as their predecessors, it is 6.1-inches for the S23, 6.6-inches for the S23+ and 6.8-inches for the S23 Ultra. Other hardware upgrades include a 200mAh increase in battery size for the S23 and S23+, which makes it to 3900mAh and 4700mAh respectively with fast charging speeds of 25W and 45W respectively, while the S23 Ultra retains the same 5000mAh cell with 45W fast charging.
What Samsung is making a big deal about its flagships is their camera capabilities, which doesn’t come as a surprise as it has always been the USP of the series. The S23 and S23+ are now capable of taking 8K 30fps videos, while the S23 Ultra gets the most upgrade with a new 200MP main sensor and a 12MP front camera with a larger pixel size, users can expect better low light camera performance as the 200MP sensor takes pixel-binned 12MP pictures by binning 16-pixels with 4 sub-pixels binning into one single pixel.
